Founded in 2007, NGN-Istanbul operates with a team of translators, editors, linguists, desktop publishing experts, and engineers, professionalized in all areas related to technical translation.
Again in relation with technical translation service, NGN-Istanbul provides world class terminology management, desktop publishing, localization and proofreading services.
In addition, NGN-Istanbul carries out dubbing, subtitle, transcription and corporate jingle/theme music projects in 36 languages, under the leadership of its professional music director.
NGN-Istanbul is the member of the Association of Translation Enterprises (ÇID), the European Language Industry Association (ELIA) and BNI. Our services are provided as per ISO 9001:2008, ISO 17100 and EN 15038.
TS-EN 15038 Translation Services – Standard for Service Requirements provides guidelines about basic concepts on;

LOCALIZATION
The term “Localization” could be defined as the adaptation of contents, processes, products, and particularly computer software to local linguistic and cultural characteristics of a market or geographical region specific to a certain location or an ethnic community. One of the most important tasks for the localization is synchronization of products or documents of products with legal rules where products are to be launched.
Due to its distinctive structure, more localization efforts are required during translation compared to other languages. Localization should be performed by experts having full knowledge. Our translators took part especially in various software localization projects.
PROOFREADING
One of the most critical stages of a quality translation is proofreading. Upon completing a translation, the text must be definitely checked for grammar, spelling, cohesion and fluency.
The prerequisite for this process is that proofreader has a full command of both source and target languages. NGN-Istanbul never delivers a translation without proofreading. Upon request, we also carefully proofread pre-translated texts to be provided by you.
TERMINOLOGY MANAGEMENT
Terminology management is one of the most vital issues to be considered for using accurate equivalents for words in a translation target language and establishing lingual integrity. In particular, terminological consistency must be definitely achieved with high-capacity translation works from large corporate companies.
Prior to start of a translation, NGN-Istanbul first performs a pre-terminology study based on its own database and with specialists of the topic. Subsequently, finalizes the terminology works upon mutual agreement with the company to be provided with translation service by us.
In our database, a separate terminology is created for each company and updated by every translation project.
We believe, while dealing with corporate projects in particular, terminology management should be handled with great care. Therefore, we agree mutually with the customer on which methods to use and on schedule for the terminology management and creation.
We have a glossary, consisting of approx. 100.000+ automotive terms, 50.000+ software terms and 100.000+ machinery terms, formed in cooperation with our engineers, from German and English languages to Turkish language within our company.
DESKTOP PUBLISHING
Through our computer-aided desktop publishing services, we process user’s guides, catalogues, brochures and periodicals for print or publication.
Our desktop publishing team has a full knowledge of all recognized desktop publishing programs in the industry.
Some of programs used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe FrameMaker, QuarkXPress and Adobe illustrator.
DUBBING AND SUBTITLE
Dubbing: provided by a meticulous team containing various professional and amateur dubbing artists, fulfilling your requirements in terms of quality and budget, to perform dubbing for any type of visual material as you requested. The scenario may be re-evaluated upon your request. Dubbing projects can be executed in 36 languages.
Subtitle: Localization work is performed following translation of videos into various languages. Also, subtitles of any fonts and effects requested are inserted to any type of visual file.
